
What is General Outpatient Clinic Public-Private Partnership Programme?
Patients of the General Outpatient Clinic under the Hospital Authority with hypertension and/ or diabetes mellitus (with or without hyperlipidaemia ) and clinically stable can receive primary care services from the private sector via this programme. Patients can easily access primary care services in a efficient way.
How to receive private healthcare service at the fee of the General Outpatient ?
Each participating patient will receive up to 10 subsidised visits per year, including medical consultations covering both chronic and episodic illnesses; drugs for treating their chronic conditions and episodic illnesses to be received directly from private doctors at their clinics; and investigation services provided by the Hospital Authority as specified through private doctors’ referral.
Under the Programme, participating patients only need to pay the fee of the General Outpatient Clinic under the Hospital Authority at $50 for each consultation.
Participating patient who is eligible for a waiver under the criteria set out in the Notice on Waiver Arrangement in Programme’s website may enjoy the same fee waiver arrangement as for the Hospital Authority’s service when he/she attends the private doctors for services under the scope of the Programme.
How to use the services of Quality Healthcare?
Over 60 general practitioners under Quality HealthCare have enrolled in this programme. Quality HealthCare has also launched the “GOPC Supplementary Formulary Program” to include 19 drugs (lipid-regulating drugs, anti-hypertensive drugs, antibiotics, antifungal drugs and anti-inflammatory painkillers, etc) besides the current drug list providing more appropriate drug choices and higher convenience and flexibility of primary care.
